Monthly Demonstration Meeting
Wax & Oils with Suzy Strout
7.30pm,12th March 2024
Reminding all that Macquarie Towns Arts Society‘s monthly meeting with Suzy Strout as the artist will be on March 12th, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Room, Deerubbin Center Windsor.
Suzy will showcase cold wax & oil techniques in her demonstration.
Both members and non-members are welcome to join their meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.
Cost is $5 at the door. Supper is provided and please remember to park outside due to early car park closure.
About Suzy Strout:
Suzy Strout is a Sydney-based artist who, for over 37 years, was responsible for overseeing the manufacture of costumes, wigs, shoes & makeup for 18 major musicals in Australia and across the southern hemisphere.
Suzy also designed costumes for the Australian productions of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap and A Murder Is Announced, and the two recent productions of Mamma Mia – Australian Tour.
Suzy’s art practice is now her focus. She took part in her first group exhibition in 2016 and her first solo
exhibition in 2020, and regularly exhibits with Drummoyne Art Society and in her local Inner West area.
Suzy’s art emphasises the textures and shapes in nature and her style uses a range of mediums from pen
& wash, acrylic, and more recently oil and cold wax medium.
