Drawing is the most basic form of artistic expression! It is a preparation for an artwork, and it is used to explore the possibilities of a subject, as an extension of the imagination. Join our drawing classes to learn more on how to enhance your drawing skills. 

Class Objectives: By the end of the term it is intended that students will be able to develop the core skill to enhance any art medium they choose to use.

Weekly, Thursday: 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Cost: $30 per week

Drawing Classes Outline: The class will be used as:

  • A preparation for an art work – explore the possibilities, mapping out the composition, ironing out mistakes before tackling the major work.
  • As a major work – once the preparation is complete, the artwork can progress to take the form of a highly finished drawing for framing & hanging.

Requirements: Enthusiasm and an interest in arts, but no prior experience necessary. Further development for those with some experience. First lesson supplies materials list and further information but you can bring any examples of your work to show and any drawing materials you may already have.

Delivery Mode: This class will involve demonstrations with informative sheets, and exercises. Students are guided step by step as classes proceed.


Materials Provided:
Information Sheets given most lessons.

Items to Bring: First lesson – notebook, pen, pencil and eraser. A materials list for students will be supplied at the first lesson, but you can bring any equipment you may have already: Sketch book, Paper, Pencils, Erasers, Sharpener, Stumps, Charcoal etc. 
Any further art materials can be purchased from our shop on location with a 5% discount for our students who attend any of our classes.
Good quality pens, pencils, paper etc will give much more satisfying results than cheaper, inferior quality materials.
